Cappadocia

Cappadocia was located in central eastern Asia Minor, and is known for its underground caves. Originally settled by the Hittites, Cappadocia was conquered by the Persians in the 6th century BC. After the fall of the Persian empire, it came under many ruling kings and became a Roman province with Ceasarea being its capital.
